In order to further as well as expand my Teen Horror show I realize that I need to have direct contact with my target audience to see if they would be interested in my proposal as well as seeing if I need to make any modifications to it. I gave out copies of this questionnaire to approximately 20 females and 20 males in order to make sure that my results would be fair. The results that I get I will use to better and improve my narrative.

Using the Movie 'Tyrannosaur' to Develop My Narrative
How can you enrich your narrative?
After watching the movie, Tyrannosaur, I think I can enrich my narrative by following a linear structure as it is easier for the audience to follow and also avoids confusion. I can also enrich my narrative by building it up slowly when it comes to the climax in order to create tension and also makes the audience feel captivated and involved.
What elements can you add to bring your characters alive?
The characters in the movie tend to be very emotional and have a good relationship between each other which makes the storyline appear to be more believable and realistic. They also all have background stories that allow the audience to empathise with the characters as they are able to understand the situation that they came from. Another element I can add that was included in the movie is the use of villains who end up turning good.
How will you actively seek to serve your chosen audience?
I will seek to serve my chosen audience by making sure that the plot and storyline relate clearly to them, this can be done through the characters, for example making sure that they follow the users and gratification theory so that the audience would keep up to date with the series.

Production of Dracula's Sons (Merchandise)
I chose to use hoodies as a part of my merchandise for my TV series as typically my target audience are seen wearing hoodies. Baring this in mind I decided to use the hoodies as I know I could rely on my audience when it comes to purchasing this item. I am aiming for the hoodie to be done in different colours but for now I have done it in black and red. The black connoting the evil within the show and the red obviously being the blood. I also wanted to bring an element of youth within the hoodie also. I did this by writing 'Malville University' across the centre of the hoodie, the font that I had chosen also replicates the typical 'College' font used in most universities/colleges. I am aiming for my audience to buy a series of these hoodies however I will start by making the Malville University hoodies limited edition which would test out whether people would like the hoodies or not.

Teen Horror Series Proposal: Dracula's Son's
NAME: Dracula’s Sons
Genre:
Horror/ Drama/ Supernatural/ Romance/Action
What
is it about?
A young
girl named April from Atlanta moves to a small town in America called Malville
(The name Malville was chosen because Mal translates to evil in Spanish, which
is what runs through the town.) to start her first year at college. As she got
the placement for the college late there are no dorms available so she signed
up to rent a room in the famous Darke Brothers House. The Darke brothers (Alec
and Draco) are famously known for renting this room every semester but every
person who rents that room out does not make it to the end of the semester.
Because April is new and does not believe in the rumors that she has heard
throughout the college she decided to go ahead and rent the room anyway.
The reason
behind this is because the two brothers are vampires, one who does not go to
the College but does night shifts at the town’s hospital, as he is much older.
The other brother does attend College and is currently dating a witch who made
him a dawn ring so he was able to go out during the day. Within the series we
are able to see a relationship develop between the evil brother Draco and the
young girl despite the fact that he is in a committed relationship this then
leads to havoc especially when his witch girlfriend Simone finds out. The other
brother Alec is a lot less quieter yet almost sinister, at the first impression
the audience believe that he is quite a shy and ‘nerdy’ character however he is
not, he has many secrets to hide which are portrayed in different ways at the
end of each episode. The most prominent one is that the hospital he works at
has an increasing number of deaths which is why patients do not wish to attend
it so often and this is because of Alec’s obsession, not with the drinking of
their blood necessarily but with torture.
Themes
Within the series we are able to see elements of Family, Friendship,
Love, Jealousy, Death, Betrayal and Fear.
Why
have I chosen to do this?
I chose
vampires as it clearly relates to my audience (which is teenagers between the
ages of 15-19). Shows like Vampire Diaries and movies like Twilight seem to
convey that teenagers are more inclined to watch shows about young adult
vampires as it will keep them intrigued with the storyline and stay up to date
with the show. What however makes my show different to The Vampire Diaries
is that I do not follow the point of view of one main character but instead try
to focus on all different types of characters. I also do not want to follow the
typical route of “Romance” to be the main storyline. Instead I want to add an
element of action for example in ‘The Walking dead’ to grasp a wider audience
as you are able to see the killing, the quest for freedom etc.
I am trying
to achieve this by making the humans that live in Malville fight against the
vampires and also along the series creating a strong feud against them.
