Capital is a UK radio station which was first aired on the 16th of October 1973, London. The audience of the radio station is typically 4.6% of the whole population of the UK. Capital Radio, was formed in early 1970 by David Maule-ffinch with the intent to apply for the general entertainment licence. It  reaches 7.2 million people every single week. People listen to Capital to  to find the top hit songs of the moment, the hottest showbiz interviews, what's happening around town and local news, traffic & travel to keep the audience in touch with all major cities across the UK.The majority of the Capital audience are female at 57%. 59% of those who tune into Capital are aged between 15-34 which is the main target audience for the station.
